eine Neuauflage von California Dreaming,
ursprünglich von  The Mamas and the Papas, diesmal von Sia,
die ja auch schon mit David Guetta Titanium produziert hat und auch sehr viel mehr Filmmusik gemacht hat 🙂 Der Song ist außerdem der Soundtrack des Films „San Andreas“    Ganz herzlichen Dank!!!

A remake of California Dreaming, originally sang by The Mamas and the Papas, in this version performed by Sia,  great artist,
she produced  Titanium with David Guetta and made a lot of soundtracks (more below)……. in this case, the soundtrack of the movie „San Andreas„.

I really love her expressive voice, the song is entirely different from the original (below) ❤

Sia (Quelle: wikipedia) war Teil der australischen Acid-Jazz-Formation Crisp, welche die beiden Alben Word and the Deal (1996) und Delirium (1997) veröffentlichte. 1997 verließ Sia die Band und wanderte nach Großbritannien aus, um ihre Solokarriere weiter zu verfolgen. Im Jahr 2000 unterschrieb sie einen Vertrag bei DancePool und veröffentlichte dort ihr Album Healing Is Difficult. Die Musik bestand aus einer Mischung aus Rhythm and Blues und Jazz und wurde ein kommerzieller Erfolg. Das Album enthält die beiden Tracks Drink to Get Drunk und Little Man, die v.a. im Underground Bekanntheit erlangten, und den Track Taken for Granted, der es sogar in die Top 10 der britischen Charts schaffte.
2003 veröffentlichte Sia auf dem Label Go! Beat Records (UMG) die EP Don’t Bring Me Down (das gleichnamige Lied ist auch in dem französischen Spielfilm 36 – Tödliche Rivalen zu hören). 2004 folgte das Album Colour the Small One. Die Platte ist im Vergleich eher ruhig, mit akustischen Instrumenten und elektronischen Komponenten. Die Tracks Breathe Me und Where I Belong wurden als Singles ausgekoppelt. Der Titel Breathe Me wurde im Jahr 2009 der Titelsong des Kinofilms Phantomschmerz mit Til Schweiger. Bereits 2005 war der Song in der Serie Six Feet Under – Gestorben wird immer im Serienfinale verwendet und auf dem Soundtrackalbum Six Feet Under, Vol. 2: Everything Ends veröffentlicht worden. 2010 erschienen die Singles Under the Milky Way, Clap Your Hands und My Love, das auch auf dem Soundtrack des Kinofilms Eclipse – Bis(s) zum Abendrot aus der Twilight-Reihe vertreten ist.
Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, wie sie offiziell heißt, schrieb zusammen mit Samuel Dixon und Christina Aguilera die Songs All I Need, Stronger Than Ever, I Am und You Lost Me, die auf Aguileras Album Bionic im Juni 2010 erschienen sind. Ihr Album We Are Born erschien am 18. Juni 2010. Im August 2011 erschien die Single Titanium, die sie zusammen mit dem DJ David Guetta aufgenommen hatte. Im Dezember 2011 erschien eine weitere Single namens Wild Ones, bei der sie mit dem Rapper Flo Rida zusammenarbeitete. Im September 2012 kam die Single She Wolf (Falling to Pieces) (großartiger Song!!!) heraus, die sie wieder zusammen mit David Guetta aufgenommen hatte. Sie schrieb unter anderem auch einige Songs für Rihannas Album Unapologetic, darunter auch die Hitsingle Diamonds, das sie in nur 14 Minuten schrieb.
Im Juli 2014 veröffentlichte Sia ihr sechstes Studioalbum mit dem Titel 1000 Forms of Fear; die erste Single aus dem Album, Chandelier, erschien im März 2014. In den Auftritten zu dem Song tritt die Sängerin mit dem Rücken zum Publikum auf, da sie nur durch ihre Lieder auffallen will und nicht durch ihre Person und ihr Erscheinen. Am 6. Mai 2014 veröffentlichte Sia ihr Musikvideo zu Chandelier, für das sie die damals elfjährige Tänzerin Maddie Ziegler engagierte (entdeckt bei der US Show DanceMoms) und für diese eine Solo-Tanzperformance choreographieren ließ. Mit dem Video erntete Sia sehr große Beachtung bei Publikum und Medien und es wurde auf YouTube über 750 Millionen Mal abgerufen. Es gewann bei den MTV Video Music Awards 2014 den Preis für die „Beste Choreografie“ und erhielt eine Grammy-Nominierung.

Im Musikvideo zur Single Elastic Heart, das Sia am 7. Januar 2015 veröffentlicht hat, ist Maddie Ziegler an der Seite von Schauspieler Shia LaBeouf erneut zu sehen, kämpfend und tanzend in einem Käfig. Für dieses Video wurde Sia heftig kritisiert und mit Pädophilie-Vorwürfen konfrontiert, Ihr findet es ganz unten. Der Grund war, dass Ziegler in einem hautfarbenen Turnanzug und LaBeouf mit nacktem Oberkörper und kurzer Hose auftritt. Sia sah sich gezwungen, sich zu entschuldigen und zu rechtfertigen. Via Twitter äußerte sie sich mit den Worten: „Ich habe Pädophilie-Schreie wegen des Videos erwartet. Alles, was ich sagen kann, ist, dass Maddie und Shia die einzigen zwei Schauspieler sind, bei denen ich das Gefühl hatte, dass sie die beiden, sich bekämpfenden ‘Sia-Zustände’ darstellen könnten. Ich bitte alle, die sich bei der Betrachtung von Elastic Heart aufgeregt haben, um Entschuldigung. Meine Intention war es lediglich, emotionale Inhalte zu inszenieren.“
Ende April 2015 veröffentlichte Furler die Single Fire Meet Gasoline aus dem Album 1000 Forms of Fear. Im dazugehörigen Video spielen Heidi Klum und Pedro Pascal ein Liebespaar.

Sia Kate Isobelle Furler (born 18 December 1975), known professionally as Sia, is an Australian singer, songwriter and music video director. Musically and artistically precocious, Sia became interested in performing in the style of musicians including Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Sting. In the mid-1990s, Sia started a career as a singer in the local Adelaide acid jazz band Crisp. By 1997, when Crisp disbanded, Sia released her debut studio album titled OnlySee on Flavoured Records in Australia. Following the event, Sia moved to London, England and provided lead vocals for British duo Zero 7. While living there, she performed as a background vocalist for British band Jamiroquai.
In 2000, Sia signed to Sony Music’s sub-label Dance Pool and released her second studio album, Healing Is Difficult, the following year, which blends retro jazz and soul musical styles and lyrically discusses Sia’s dealing with the death of her first love affair: „I was pretty fucked up after Dan died. I couldn’t really feel anything. I could intellectualise a lot of stuff; that I had a purpose, that I was loved, but I couldn’t actually feel anything.“
Her first single, „Taken for Granted“, peaked at number 10 on the UK Singles Chart.
Displeased with the promotion of the record, Sia signed to Go! Beat and released her third studio album, Colour the Small One, in 2004. The album employs a mixture of acoustic instruments and electronic backing to her material. „Where I Belong“ was scheduled to be included on the soundtrack for the film Spider-Man 2; however, owing to a record label conflict, it was withdrawn at the last minute. Dissatisfied with the project’s struggling to connect with a mainstream audience, Sia relocated to New York City in 2005 and began touring across the United States. During which time, „Breathe Me“ appeared in the final scene of the U.S. HBO television series Six Feet Under, which helped increase Sia’s fame in the United States. Sia released her fourth and fifth studio releases, Some People Have Real Problems and We Are Born, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. In May 2009, Sia released TV Is My Parent on DVD, which includes a live concert at New York’s Hiro Ballroom, four music videos and behind-the-scene footage. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2009, Sia won the Best Music DVD category for TV Is My Parent. She also received a nomination for Best Breakthrough Artist Album for Some People Have Real Problems.
In 2008, Sia discussed her sexual orientation in interviews with Scotland on Sunday and AfterEllen.com and announced her relationship with JD Samson; they later broke up in 2011. When asked about her sexuality, she said, „Before I was actually successful I’d always said I’ve always dated boys and girls and anything in between. I don’t care what gender you are, it’s about people. I didn’t just recently open up, I just recently got famous! I’ve always been… well, flexible is the word I would use.“
In 2009, American singer Christina Aguilera approached Sia about writing ballads for Aguilera’s then-upcoming sixth studio album. The final product, Bionic, includes three songs co-written by Sia. Later in 2010, Sia also co-wrote „Bound to You“ for the soundtrack of the American film Burlesque, which starred Aguilera and American singer Cher. The song was nominated for Best Original Song at the 68th Golden Globe Awards.
In May 2011, Sia appeared on the inaugural season of the U.S. version of The Voice as an adviser for Aguilera, who served as a vocal coach and judge. In June 2010, Sia released her fifth studio album, We Are Born.
Following the release of We Are Born, Sia decided to retire from the career as a recording artist and managed to start a career as a songwriter. She wrote the song „Titanium“ for American singer Alicia Keys, but it was later sent to David Guetta, who included Sia’s original demo vocals on the song and released it as a single in 2011. „Titanium“ was a commercial success worldwide, peaking within the top five of record charts in the United States, Australia and numerous European regions. However, Sia was not pleased with the success of the single: „[…] I never even knew it was gonna happen, and I was really upset. Because I had just retired, I was trying to be a pop songwriter, not an artist.“ From 2011 to 2013, Sia also co-wrote songs for a large number of recording artists, including Beyoncé, Flo Rida and Rihanna.
In October 2013, Sia released „Elastic Heart“ featuring The Weekend and Diplo for the soundtrack of the American film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013). In the music video the very young female dancer Maddie Ziegler can be seen by the side of actor Shia LaBeouf fighting and dancing in a cage. Sia has been heavily criticized and confronted with pedophile accusations for this video (you can see the video below). In an interview she said (not literally): All I can say is that Maddie and Shia are the only two actors, with whom I had the feeling that they could represent the two warring ‚Sia-conditions‚. My apologies, my only intention was to stage emotional content.….
In July 2014, Sia released her sixth studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear. The album debuted atop the US Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 52,000 copies. 1000 Forms of Fears lead single, „Chandelier“ was released in March 2014. For live performances of songs from 1000 Forms of Fear, Sia chose not to show her face, either facing away from audiences or hiding it behind over-sized platinum blonde wigs. In videos for the singles „Chandelier,“ „Elastic Heart,“ and „Big Girls Cry,“ Dance Moms star, Maddie Ziegler danced in similar wigs. Sia explained to Kristen Wiig in an interview in Interview magazine that a desire to stop performing and a need for privacy motivated her to conceal her face: „I’m trying to have some control over my image. And I’m allowed to maintain some modicum of privacy. But also I would like not to be picked apart or for people to observe when I put on ten pounds or take off ten pounds or I have a hair extension out of place or my fake tan is botched. Most people don’t have to be under that pressure, and I’d like to be one of them.“
In 2014, Sia contributed to the soundtrack to the 2014 film adaptation of the Broadway musical Annie. Sia, along with producer Greg Kurstin wrote three new songs for the film as well as re-worked songs originally from the musical. Sia, Kurstin, and Annie director Will Gluck were nominated at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards for Best Original Song for one of the film’s original songs, Opportunity.
On 12 May 2015, Sia’s cover of The Mamas & the Papas‘ „California Dreamin'“ was released. The song is from the movie San Andreas. The same month, alongside the digital deluxe release of 1000 Forms of Fear, she released a mobile game, Bob Job.
